IAC Noise Lock Doors are produced as engineered systems. Each complete system, including leaf, split-frame, seals, hinges, and latching hardware, is factory assembled and laboratory tested for performance. Every door is functionally tested for alignment, fit, and ease of operation prior to shipment. This reduces installation costs and virtually eliminates in-field construction errors that can affect performance. Since 1949 IAC has installed more than 100,000 sound control doors in a wide variety of applications with STC (Sound Transmission Class) ratings from STC 26 to STC 70. All IAC sound-rated door designs are tested in the IAC NVLAP accredited Aero-Acoustic Laboratory. Of greater importance is consistently high in-field noise reduction attained under actual job conditions. IAC delivers a fully factory assembled door unit including leaf, time saving split frame, seals, latching hardware and glazing.
